The Villa at Wrea Green | Ashton Photography

Jenny and Matt’s Colourful Spring Wedding

Jenny and Matt choose to tie the knot in Spring 2012 after a whirlwind romance across the globe in Australia. Matt is from Australia and to celebrate his special day, many of his family and friends flew over. To make the Aussie guests feel at home, their flowers and colour scheme were very tropical and looked absolutely stunning!

Jenny and Matt chose Fulwood Methodist Church for their ceremony, this was a joyous ceremony with lots of personal readings from family and friends. Their reception was held at the Lamcashire village of Wrea Green….the lovely hotel called The Villa at Wrea Green hosted their wedding breakfast and evening reception in their marque…always a nice touch for something a little different.

A fabulous colour scheme of Teal…such a trendy colour at the moment…worn by Royalty over recent weeks! was created by Creative Cover Hire, based in Leyland…a specialist chair company who have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

The stunning flowers and floral arrangements were created by Jane and Jason Thompson of Flower Design….wedding and event specialists

It is a distinctive hotel in an idyllic setting, and offers a fine dining experience …
it is situated in the picture perfect Lancashire village of Wrea Green just minutes from the hustle & bustle of junction 3 off the M55.

Here are a few of their images, hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them x

Kind words from Charlotte and Andrew | Winter Wonderland Wedding | Park Hall | Lancashire

Park Hall | Chorley | Winter Wedding

A knock on the door, a beautiful bouquet, and a lovely thank you card even before Charlotte and Andrew had seen their album…wow a fabulous surprise! Thank you….

What lovely words….just a note to sayAndrew and I cannot thank you enough for photographing our special day. You captured it beautifully and have provided us with a lasting memory of a wonderful day. It was a pleasure to have you there and we cannot believe the work you both put in. Thank you so much x

Charlotte and Andrew planned their winter wonderland wedding with such enthusiasm and attention to every little detail….here are some of their lovely photographs. Their wedding took place at a beautiful church in Much Hoole and was followed by their reception at Park Hall, Charnock Richard, Chorley, Lancashire. The high vaulted ceiling was just what Charlotte wanted to be able to add that wow factor to her wedding breakfast.

All the favours of red, green and gold had been created by Charlotte herself, little Christmas stockings and tree decorations where given out as favours for all of their 100 plus guests. The tall candelabras added a very warm and festive feel to the room and the 10ft Christmas was quite majestic filled with lots of lights and decorations.

Wedding Day Photographs | Dromoland Castle | Andrew and Aoife

The big day has now arrived, the skies are blue and the sun is shinning, quite unusual for a February wedding at Dromoland Castle in Co Clare. I meet with Aoife and the girls along with the make ups artists and hairdressers who have also flown over from UK. The room is busy and everyone is so excited. To add to the buzz the helicopters are hovering around and the paparazzi are lurking in the grounds as they think it is a celebrity wedding…there are so many flowers and venue decor that the village of Newton On Fergus has been taken over with the florists and venue dressers for a week…so the locals are convinced it is a famous footballers wedding. We just loved the excitement of it!!

Steve met with Andrew and the guys at the owners private residence before the fleet of Range Rovers and an E Type Jag – again all driven from the UK whisked them off to church.

Kate Deegan owner of Perfect Details, wedding co ordination and planning services was on hand all day and made sure everyone, including the 250 guests all go to the church on time!! The church was St Johns in Cratloe, the same church as Andrea Corrs married in a few years ago.

The day just flowed beautifully, the wedding service and mass was beautiful…Father Patsey, a family friend conducted a wonderful and meaningful mass, as the newly weds left church int he red  E Type Jag to the sounds of the bagpipes and cheers everyone threw their confetti and coaches whisked everyone back to the castle.

As the cars arrived at the gates the horse and hounds awaited Aoife and Andrew (also a few paparazzi yet again ) the drive down to the castle was superb, the horses trotting, the dogs running behind and the horns being blown…the sunshine and perfect weather added to such a great entrance!

Champagne, guinness and cocktails awaited the guests arrival with a vast array of entertainment and nibbles. Photographs took place and the celebrations continued with the piper ultimately taking everyone off to the banqueting hall for the wedding breakfast and reception.

What can I say except wow…the Brian Boru looked amazing. I have never seen such a transformation, it was breathtaking! A standing ovation for the newly weds took place, and everyone enjoyed their first two courses. Then the first surprise….Stavros Flately! How funny and they really got the crowd going…all too soon his performance ended, then the meal continued and ultimately the superb speeches began!

Soon after the speeches everyone went outside for the first dance on the terrace, accompanied by mulled wine! The sound of the Irish drums began and everyone went inside to be greeted by a spectacular show of Riverdance…so fitting for this wedding and straight away the scene was set for what could only be described as a night to remember!

We have had the pleasure of also photographing Aoifes’ sister and brothers weddings along with some of their friends weddings to, so delighted to be chosen again. This latest family wedding saw us packing our bags and setting of for Newton on Ferguson, County Clare.

We arrived late Thursday evening and began capturing the celebration Friday morning with the golf tournament and later clay pigeon shooting. By early evening the family and guests had exclusive use of the clubhouse for an informal gathering and low key party in preparation for the big day ahead.

Here are a few images from Day one of our Irish adventure…

Bartle Hall Wedding | Ashton Photography

A “Jolly Wilson” wedding at Bartle Hall

Wedding Photography | Ashton Photography | Bartle Hall

A fun filled wedding day for Debbie and Andrew as they married at Hillside Methodist Church in Brinscall, a beautiful and emotional ceremony was followed by their elegant vintage themed wedding reception at Bartle Hall in Preston Lancashire. We both so enjoyed being their chosen wedding photographers. Infact we had photographed the chief bridesmaids the previous year, it is always lovely to be a recommended :)

There was a lovely vintage glamour feel to Debbie’s chosen wedding theme…lots of sparkles, candles and elegance. I just loved Debbies flowing dress, with gorgeous layers of fabric and her fur stole was such a winner…especially as there was a sprinkling of snow as the happy couple came out of church.

Enjoy a small selection from such a happy day x
