Welcome to our website. If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Ashton Photography’s relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website.
The term ‘Ashton Photography’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose office is 3 Beechfield Court, Leyland, Lancashire, PR253SA.

These Terms and Conditions below apply to clients of Ashton Photography and are duplicated here for reference.
Terms and Conditions – January 2012
1. The photographer and client in line with the terms and conditions stated herein base the acceptance of the booking outlined on the booking form once completed.
2. All original materials whether film or digital remain the property of the photographer as is subject to UK copyright law. No images can be reproduced or sold by the client without written permission from Ashton photography. This includes any social or digital media.
3. Due to constantly changing supplier prices, all additional products will be charged as per the current price list, effective at the time of order.
4. A non-refundable deposit of £350 is required to be paid on the placement of the booking. Cancellations made less than 6 months prior to the wedding will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the outstanding monies owed.
5. Remaining balance is payable one month prior to the wedding. Should this balance not be paid on the due date, Ashton Photography will presume their services are no longer required. As per point 7 below, full payment will still be due from the client as detailed on these terms and conditions.
6. Colour photography is undertaken within the technical limitations of the process and certain colours may not necessarily be facsimile over the whole range of colours within a subject. Prints made at different times may be variable in colour balance. Please note that some fabrics such as two tone taffeta/satin/men’s morning suits react differently in some lighting conditions and can cause the material to change giving incorrect colour and patterns beyond the photographers control. It is advisable to therefore not choose this kind of fabric please discuss with the photographer if you are in doubt, as he/she cannot be held responsible for the natural colour deviation which may occur.
7. Clients who change from a two photographer option to a single photographer option will required to pay £400.00 to cover the loss of earnings.
8. Ashton Photography shall exercise all reasonable care, skill and diligence in the discharge of their duties. It is understood that in the event of any unforeseen circumstances causing loss of all photographic records, the photographer will only be responsible for the return of all the money paid to date, although every effort will be made to retake the photographs.
9. It is understood that the copyright of all the photographs belongs to Ashton Photography. No photographs may be copied or reproduced by any means photographic or otherwise by any person or machine other than the photographer or their appointed agents. We treat all cases of copyright infringement as theft and will deal with accordingly via the UK Courts.
10. Credit card payments are subject to a 2.5% surcharge to cover bank administration charges
11. All orders for albums, reprints and enlargements must be paid for at the time of ordering.
12. All album orders must be completed within twelve months from the date of the wedding. Any orders placed after twelve months will be subject to a surcharge of £250 Ex vat. This is to cover price increases from uor suppliers. Any changes to vat levels will of course be reflected in the final surcharge payment. We simply can’t control supplier price increases or changes to vat rates. These must be reflected in this surcharge payment.
13. A £50.00 courier and insurance fee is applied to all albums that require posting.
14. All requested manipulation to images will be charged at £25.00 per image.
15. All our album designs are proofed to clients before actual albums are ordered. In all cases once the client has selected the images to be used in the album, Ashton Photography agree to one set of unlimited changes to be made to the initial proof layout. These changes will be made free of charge and a second proof will be issued. Please note any further changes requested by the client will be charged at a rate of £50.00 per set of changes. A set of changes shall be regarded as up to ten individual changes. Ashton Photography are happy to make any number of changes to proofs but these will all be payable by the client prior to work taking place.
16. We do not request specific meals are provided for us on the day of the wedding. Please be aware however we will need to take a break at some point. In most cases this will be whilst the wedding breakfast is taking place. At this time we may need to leave site and be unavailable for a short time. We will make clients aware of this and inform of our return to site. If photography is required during the wedding breakfast a short break will be taken before the start of the wedding breakfast.
17. Travel charges may possibly be added to any wedding package that takes place over 50 miles from our Leyland base. This will be agreed and detailed at the time of booking.
18. Copies and duplicate discs can be supplied in all instances at a cost of £10.00 per disc.
19. It is agreed that the terms set out in this document is the total agreement made between the parties and no variation or modification of these terms and conditions shall be effective unless agreed by both parties in writing.
20. The client understands and accepts that the photographic coverage will be as the photographers professional expertise determines and that no one photograph will be deemed more important than another. Special requests are not to be seen as binding instructions, although every effort will be made to comply with the wishes of the client.
21. Any special requests not notified on this booking form must be made by the clients to the photographers in writing.
22. The photographer shall be granted complete artistic licence including in relation to the poses locations and the final number of images taken and presented to the client. Due to vagaries of the weather and the willingness of subjects it may not be possible to capture all the images requested
23. The client hereby allows the photographer to display any images in this contract, in their studios, portfolios, literature and wedding fairs. This also includes display on web sites and social media websites.
24. In the unlikely event of a total photographic failure the liability of either party shall be limited to the value of this contract.
