01. Enquiring about your wedding photography
Feel free to call us any time to chat through your initial plans, however the best time to get into more detail is when you have booked a specific date and venue for your wedding. Once we know we are free to attend your wedding, we can start to look in more detail about the type of photography you are looking for and more importantly chat through your wedding plans and ideas in general.
After this initial contact, most clients come over to meet with us in person. These meetings take place in our purposely designed wedding lounge. For your convenience we are located close to the M6 Junction 28. This location offers superb access which is very convenient for our clients and we are very happy to make appointments at times most suitable to you!
In our wedding lounge we have on display a superb selection of complete wedding albums, so you can see finished products from real life weddings. We also have available a wide range of superb frames, prints and other products.
Over coffee, we can talk about your wedding and see just how our style of photography fits in with your ideas and plans. These meetings are relaxed and you are under no pressure to book on the day or make choices in a hurry. We know the choice of wedding photographer is important.
Once you have made your decision we will complete some very simple contracts and paperwork, which ensures you, and ourselves, have all the information needed.
We are often asked how soon do we need to book. The simple answer is as soon as you know you would like us to photograph your wedding. We often take bookings two or three years ahead for key dates. Having said that most bookings are made about 12 months before the wedding.
Please remember, we are only a phone call away, we love weddings, so if you want a chat just pick up the telephone and call us.
02. The Pre Wedding Consultation
From our initial telephone contact and first meeting, we will get a good idea of your plans. However it is at the pre wedding consultation, that we start to really plan you wedding photography in detail and do much of the work to ensure your images will be about you and your wedding. This normally takes place a month or so before your big day.
This meeting is all about you and your wedding. We will look in detail at the timings and running order of the day. Chat through our own thoughts and ideas and look at any specific images you would like us to capture.
Family groups are required at most weddings so at your consultation we will talk through the pictures you need and the best way these can be captured in the most efficient way. Remember we want you to have a great wedding, so we won’t be expecting you to dedicate the entire day to photography.
Very often your consultation takes place many months after the initial booking, so these meetings are a great opportunity for us to all to get to know each other a little better. This makes for a much more personal experience on the day of your wedding and yet again helps make the pictures, we take, more personal to you!
03. Your pre wedding photography shoot
We prefer, were possible, to have a pre wedding shoot with all our clients, and these shoots take place in most cases at the same time as the pre wedding consultation.
We will spend a short time with you to produce some stunning portrait pictures. These can be used as signature boards at the wedding or just framed as a beautiful piece of wall art which you will treasure for many years to come.
Pre wedding shoots are like all our photography, relaxed, informal, fun and above all, about you. We will see how you interact as a couple and at the same time you will see us working in the same style as we will adopt on your wedding day. There will be no studios and big lights, just you, a great location and some beautiful natural light. In fact, photography, just the way we like it.
04. Your wedding day
This is were all the planning and preparation comes together. On your wedding day we will work in as unobtrusive manner as possible to capture all those special moments.
Stephanie could be with the bride and the girls as they get ready. Steve, possibly with the groom as he prepares for the day. All this will have been planned at the pre wedding consultation. You can be confident on the day that nothing will be left to chance.
We will be with you every step of the way, capturing, every possible image, in our relaxed photojournalistic style. Many of the moments we capture, you won’t even realise until after the day, its only when you view your finished wedding images that all those special moments and memories come back to life.
05. After your wedding
Firstly all your wedding images will be backed up safely in our archive. The images are edited, remember , we only want you to look your very best. to this end, each individual image is assessed for tone and colour balance. We will make some images black and white, however our style of images depends on superb photography, not extensive use of photoshop. Special effects are not really our style. We are looking to tell the story of your wedding in a photojournalistic style so we don’t use gimmicks to make pictures look good. Colours will look natural but any blemishes will be removed
We aim to have your wedding pictures ready for you in two to three weeks and you will be invited to come and view your finished pictures on a large screen system in our wedding lounge. This way we can be sure you are seeing the images the way we intended them to be.
Only the latest, most advanced equipment is used to take your photographs and we carry that through into our viewing screens and computers which are all chosen to make sure you have the best possible viewing experience.
At your viewing you will be invited to choose the pictures you would like included in your finished album. You will also be able to select images for parents and friends if you wish. Rest assured, there is no hard sell sales tactic, you choose the images you want and your wedding package is inclusive of a superb album and prints. Many clients choose to add more images to their albums but this is left entirely up to you.
06. Your wedding album
Once you have arrived at your final selection of images. Stephanie who designs all our award winning wedding albums will start on your bespoke album design.
Using the latest graphics software and albums from the top manufacturers ensures she is able to design the album you dreamt of all those months ago.
We are very specific about the products we use. We want you to have the best possible album and we like our images to be displayed in the best possible way, so from main wedding albums to mounted and framed wall art prints we exercise the best possible attention to detail in all our finished products. Most of which are hand finished by Steve in our own studio.
Finished prints will all be printed by one of the UKs top photography labs, to the most exacting colour management controls. As professionals we take a great deal of pride in our finished product and all our album designs are proofed out to you before being ordered. We never use outside suppliers to design albums, each one is a hand made, bespoke product to be proud of, the results speak for them selves.
The final stage in the process, is when clients come to collect their finished albums and prints. For us another satisfied customer. We have enjoyed many long term friendships with clients over the years and photographed many of their new arrivals as their families grow. We hope collecting the finished album is not the last time we see you.
Like we have said many times we love people and our doors are always open and the coffee is always on… Hope to see you again soon!
